The National Medical Council of Cameroon (ONMC), headed by Dr. Rodolphe Fonkoua, announced on July 16, 2026, the filing of official complaints against the well-known influencer Manuella Nimpa, aka « The Diamond Thief, » and a fake doctor, Kingsly Nembo.

The medical council accuses the influence of illegally performing invasive cosmetic procedures, including « Body Filler » injections, and accuses Nembo of falsely claiming to be a doctor without being registered with the council.

Faced with the increasing number of illegal cosmetic practices, these cases have been referred to the Cameroonian justice system to protect public health and preserve the credibility of the medical profession.

The National Medical Council of Cameroon (ONMC) has just dealt a major blow in the fight against the illegal practice of medicine and unlicensed cosmetic surgery. In an official press release published this Thursday, July 16, 2026, and signed by its president, Dr. Rodolphe Fonkoua, the council announced that it has filed formal complaints with the competent authorities against two individuals particularly active in the informal cosmetic and medical care sector.

The first target of this legal action is none other than the famous influencer Manuella Nimpa, better known by her pseudonym « The Diamond Eater. » This public figure, who has a huge following on social media in Cameroon and sub-Saharan Africa, is directly involved in performing invasive cosmetic procedures outside of any legal framework.

The council specifically points to the practice of « body filler » injections, increasingly popular but particularly risky body-filling substances when administered outside of any licensed medical setting. The second individual targeted by the ONMC’s complaint is a certain Mr. Kingsly Nembo.

He allegedly presents himself publicly under the false title of « Doctor » and offers various medical and cosmetic procedures entirely illegally, without being registered with the National Medical Council of Cameroon.Aesthetic abuses targeted by the CouncilThis statement from the ONMC comes amid an alarming proliferation of clandestine clinics and beauty salons offering complex medical procedures under the guise of simple cosmetic treatments.

Dr. Rodolphe Fonkoua firmly reiterates a golden rule of public health: « Any invasive medical or cosmetic procedure can only be performed by legally authorized professionals duly registered with the Medical Council, in accordance with applicable regulations. “The files concerning Manuella Nimpa and Kingsly Nembo have already been forwarded to the competent authorities (prosecutors and law enforcement), who are now responsible for conducting criminal investigations to formally establish individual responsibilities in accordance with the laws of the Republic.

With this action, the Order reaffirms its absolute determination to eradicate the illegal practice of medicine in all its forms, a courge that seriously endangers public health, tarnishes the image of the profession, and undermines the credibility of the medical profession in Cameroon.

The ONMC urges the general public and the entire medical community to be extremely vigilant and strongly encourages them to report any suspicious or unauthorized practices so that immediate protective measures can be taken.”
