On the eve of the 1st Mini Tour of Chad (August 1-10, 2026), the Einstein Cycling Club unveils its selection of six riders. Led by FENAP Cycling, the team will tackle 730 km between Sarh and N’Djamena. A sporting and physical endurance challenge in service of regional integration within the CEMAC zone.

Beyond tactical strategy and team cohesion, physical endurance is the cornerstone of the Einstein Cycling Club’s performance in this first International Mini Tour of Chad.

To emerge victorious from the 730-kilometer race, spread across seven intense stages, the six selected riders Abdourahmane Amadou, Abdoul Karim, Hama Toukour, Marco Sewa, Jordan Fogou, and Marius Tchadie will need exceptional physical preparation to withstand the rigors of the sub-regional teams. Crossing Chad from the south to the capital, from Sarh to N’Djamena, means contending with a demanding thermal and geographical environment.

High-level cardiovascular endurance is essential to resist the intense heat and dehydration, while maintaining consistent pedaling power on long and grueling stretches, such as the 130-kilometer Kélo-Bongor stage. Without a solid physical foundation, the risk of overheating and muscle failure becomes critical from the very first stages.

In a fast-paced competition where stages follow one another day after day from August 1st to 10th, the body undergoes repeated biological stress. The base endurance training developed before hand by the FENAP Vélo technical team optimizes recovery between stages.

It promotes the rapid elimination of muscle toxins and the replenishment of glycogen energy reserves each evening, ensuring that riders start the next day feeling fresh. Finally, the challenging terrain of Chad presents tactical challenges where physical endurance directly influences strategic agility.

Whether it’s forming echelons to counter headwinds, responding to repeated attacks on false flats, or maintaining a high cadence to lead a long breakaway, a high aerobic capacity allows riders to absorb sudden accelerations without accumulating irreversible fatigue. In short, it is this athletic prowess that will allow the six ambassadors of the Einstein Cycling Club to set their own pace and aim for the top of the overall standings in N’Djamena.
