national healthcare system while contributing to Africa’s health sovereignty through innovation and digital transformation.

Focus on AI, data, and digital health systems

Over three days, the program will feature scientific conferences, specialized workshops, and a large-scale innovation exhibition. Key themes include artificial intelligence in healthcare, telemedicine, hospital information systems, data interoperability, cybersecurity, and the regulation of medical AI.

Financing mechanisms and strategies to scale up e-health solutions will also be central to discussions, reflecting a strong emphasis on bridging innovation with real-world implementation.

Strong international participation expected

Organizers anticipate more than 300 exhibitors, 200 startups, and around 100 international investors, highlighting the event’s ambition to serve as a major African health-tech marketplace.

According to Morocco’s Minister of Health and Social Protection, Amine Tehraoui, the country is deliberately leveraging digital tools and artificial intelligence to improve healthcare quality, resource allocation, and territorial equity.

He emphasized that GITEX Future Health Africa represents Morocco’s commitment to acting as a catalyst for an integrated African digital health ecosystem.

From the international side, Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of the Dubai World Trade Center and Managing Director of Kaoun International, described the initiative as a strategic milestone in accelerating cross-border partnerships and improving health outcomes across the continent.
