The local subsidiary of global food and beverage company Nestlé, based in Cameroon, is introducing MAGGI® Powder 8 g, a new range of seasonings available in three variants and manufactured in Douala. Convenient, consistent and sold at FCFA 100 for three sachets, the product offers greater flexibility for enhancing a wide range of local recipes.

A key player in Cameroon’s culinary landscape and in the daily lives of households for more than four decades, Nestlé Cameroon is taking another strategic step forward. Through its flagship brand, the company has officially launched MAGGI® Powder 8 g, an innovative range designed specifically to keep pace with changing local cooking habits. Unveiled during an event at the company’s Douala factory, the product provides a modern and practical alternative to traditional seasoning formats, giving consumers greater flexibility and precision when preparing their favourite dishes.

A tailor-made response to the diversity of local recipes
In many Cameroonian households, seasoning needs vary considerably depending on the dish being prepared and the desired taste. Thanks to its smooth and easy-to-dose format, MAGGI® Powder can be distributed evenly and incorporated at any stage of the cooking process.
To cater to this rich culinary diversity, the range comes in three distinct variants. The MAGGI® Cube Seasoning Powder variant, enriched with iodised salt and featuring notes of onion, beef, pepper and chilli, is intended for everyday dishes such as tomato sauce, peanut sauce and Poulet DG. The MAGGI® Spice Flavour variant combines cloves, chilli, long pepper, pèbè, black pepper and garlic to enhance grilled dishes and stir-fries. Finally, the MAGGI® Chilli-Garlic Flavour variant has been specifically designed to add intensity to marinades, sauces and spicy preparations.

Local production and commitment to quality
The new range is entirely manufactured at Nestlé’s factory in Douala, in accordance with strict food quality and safety requirements. The launch reflects the company’s commitment to local production and to developing products that respond to consumers’ needs.
As Arouna Koara, Central Africa Culinary Category Director, pointed out, the innovation expands the company’s product offering while remaining faithful to the authentic flavours that Cameroonian consumers have enjoyed for more than 40 years.
For his part, Aboubacar Coulibaly, General Manager of Nestlé Cameroon, reaffirmed the company’s continued commitment to offering high-quality products manufactured locally.

Affordable and immediately available
All three MAGGI® Powder variants are already available in traditional markets across Cameroon. Priced at a recommended retail price of FCFA 100 for a pack of three sachets, the range is positioned as an affordable seasoning option for households.
For optimal use, consumers are advised to follow the instructions provided on the packaging, with one 8 g sachet recommended for a meal serving three people.
Nestlé has also made a toll-free consumer helpline (8545) and a WhatsApp contact (+237 650 75 86 25) available for any questions regarding the use of the product.
